I document my life as a way to make sense of the world, weaving emotions, textures, words and light into one continuous artistic practice. Rooted in human experience, my work is a conversation about what truly matters for me, that change starts locally—where I am. The home becomes the studio, my life the installation, and my emotions the performance.

Caring for the people around me is both a source of inspiration and a place I sometimes long to escape. Instead, I stay. I work from within domestic life, where there is no clear beginning or end—only circular movement, warm and ongoing, sometimes alienating. Cooking, cleaning, tending, thinking about colour and material, painting, photographing, writing, mending, stirring soup—these gestures are poured into hybrid artworks, half stain-half paint, grounded in lived reality. I search for the resonance hidden in ordinary moments: a message from a friend, messy tables from children’s breakfast, a piece of fabric on the floor, sunlight hitting just right, the perfect red of party boots I never wear, a dream I had last night. These small, often overlooked details poured into artworks are what make life feel real, bearable, and sometimes even beautiful. Over time, they grow into immersive installations, often formed inside the home, sometimes including my body in improvised performances.

The declining mental and physical health of women living within patriarchal and colonial systems is something I experience daily, in my body and mind. I intentionally interrogate these realities as I wake up each day as an artist, a woman, a mother, a partner, a friend, and a political being. I found that presence over escaping is my key to discovering what lies in the dark. Embodying those realities in a meaningful artistic action becomes a form of survival on a personal level and a collective one.
